Was Jesus (peace be upon him) sent specifically to the Children of Israel or to the world at large, and what about other nations if he was sent to the Children of Israel?

The message of Isa (Jesus), peace be upon him, was specifically for the Children of Israel, as evidenced by Allah’s saying: "And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel" and His saying: "O Children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you." And the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Every prophet was sent specifically to his people, but I have been sent to all mankind." As for the Egyptians and others, Allah sent other messengers to them, in fulfillment of His saying: "And [We sent] messengers about whom We have related [their stories] to you before, and messengers about whom We have not related [their stories] to you" and "And there was no nation but that there had passed within it a warner."
