Is listening to the Quran through a device used for playing music permissible at all times and in all places?

The Lawgiver encouraged listening to the Holy Quran by saying: "And when the Quran is recited, listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy" (Quran 7:204). It did not specify a particular time or method. However, it must be kept away from inappropriate times and places, and from being broadcast through music players. Nevertheless, there is no harm in listening to it from them, as they are merely a device.
