There is no objection to softening eyebrow hair with a chemical or other substance if no harm results, and this does not fall under altering Allah's creation, because the forbidden alteration is plucking ("namas").

The female companions used to apply wars (a type of saffron) to their faces to remove melasma, which is a treatment for beautifying the skin and removing blemishes. Coarse hair is a type of blemish that there is no harm in removing.

There is no objection to using products made by disbelievers, because the forbidden imitation is mimicking them in their religious or cultural characteristics, not in everything that benefits people.

If the engagement or viewing occurs after softening the hair, this is not considered deception, because coarse eyebrow tips are not among the defects that a woman must disclose.
