What is the ruling on one who forgot to cut her hair after the Sa'i in Umrah and cut it after returning to her home country?

A woman shortening her hair after the Sa'y (ritual circumambulation between Safa and Marwa) in Umrah is obligatory according to the majority of scholars and a pillar according to the Shafi'is. Shaving or shortening the hair is established by the Quran and Sunnah. If someone delays shaving or shortening until they return to their country, a compensatory sacrifice (dam) becomes obligatory according to the Hanafis and Malikis. However, the dam is waived due to ignorance or forgetfulness according to a large group of scholars. Therefore, if the wife offers a dam for delaying the shortening of her hair, it would be more cautious for her faith. But if she abstains from doing so, relying on the opinion of those who say it is not obligatory or that it is waived due to ignorance or forgetfulness, there is no blame upon her.
