Is it permissible for the Friday Khateeb in non-Muslim countries (such as Europe) to make the supplication: "O Allah, make this country safe," and what is the intended meaning of this supplication?

The saying "O Allah, make this land secure" means supplicating for the security of the land. If the land is at war with Allah and His Messenger, it is not permissible to supplicate for its security. However, if it is not at war, we have clarified the permissibility of supplicating for the worldly benefits of a non-belligerent disbeliever, but it is preferable to avoid it due to what is stated in the Book of Allah the Almighty, that Allah punishes disbelieving nations so that they might be guided, such as His saying: "And We seized them with punishment that perhaps they might return [to righteousness]," and His saying: "And We will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will return [to righteousness]." The nearer punishment includes worldly calamities, illnesses, and afflictions.
