Why do we adhere to and sanctify what some imams and narrators say about hadiths that may be fabricated about the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, merely because they are in the books of Muslim and Bukhari, even though there are hadiths that no sane believer would believe?

Scholars have adduced as proof for the permissibility of marrying a minor girl Allah's saying: "And those who have not yet menstruated" [Quran 65:4], for a minor girl is included in this verse. The solution for what poses a problem for some people regarding religious texts is to clarify the wisdom they contain, their conformity to truth, and their consideration for human welfare, not to deny them as an escape from the criticism of detractors. Indeed, Imam al-Bukhari cited the Quran as proof for the marriage of a minor girl even before the Sunnah.
