What is the ruling on donating to a mosque supervised by people of innovation?
If the donated money will be spent on acts of obedience to Allah Almighty, such as renovating the mosque or buying carpets for it, then there is no harm in donating. The fact that those in charge of it are people of innovation (Ahl al-Bid'ah) does not prevent this, because the innovation of those in charge of the mosque does not preclude acts of righteousness within it.
However, if the donation will be spent on their innovative activities, then it is not permissible to donate at that point, due to the assistance it provides for evil.
