Is it permissible to combine the Farewell Tawaf with the Tawaf of Umrah in one circumambulation before the end of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, and what is the ruling on wearing sewn clothes before the Day of Arafat for one who is in a state of Ihram for Hajj from the fifth of Dhul-Hijjah?

Scholars differed regarding the sufficiency of performing Tawaf with the dual intention of Umrah and Farewell simultaneously. The Shafi'is held that it is not sufficient, and whoever has traveled a distance allowing for shortening prayers must offer a sacrifice (dam). As for those in Makkah or within a distance that does not permit shortening prayers, they must return and perform the Farewell Tawaf. The Malikis, however, held that it is sufficient, provided that the stay thereafter is not prolonged. As for performing Sa'i before Tawaf, it is not sufficient; it must be repeated, and the Farewell Tawaf must be performed thereafter. Wearing sewn clothing after assuming ihram and before exiting it is a forbidden act that necessitates a fidyah (sacrifice of a sheep, feeding six needy persons, or fasting three days), unless one is ignorant of its prohibition.
