Abstaining from intercourse is permissible if it would lead to missing the prayer time, and impermissible if there is sufficient time for purification and prayer. The husband should be reminded of the virtue of prayer and the danger of abandoning it, and encouraged to pray in the mosque. If he insists on praying at home, then pray in congregation with him. Gentleness with the husband is required, and raising one's voice at him is disliked. As for boycotting him in bed for this reason, it is an opinion held by some scholars, but the more preponderant view is otherwise.
