Is marriage half of the religion?

Marriage is half of faith, because a righteous wife helps her husband lower his gaze and guard his chastity, thereby protecting him from adultery, which is one of the two corruptors of faith. This is as stated in the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever Allah protects from the evil of two things will enter Paradise: what is between his jaws and what is between his legs."
