Does marriage complete half of one's faith, and what is the evidence for that?

Marriage is the tradition of the Messengers, and it helps overcome evil inclinations, for it "lowers the gaze and guards the private parts," as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, explained. It has been reported that "whoever Allah provides with a righteous wife has been helped with half of his religion," and "when a servant marries, he has completed half of his religion."
