Does decorating trees with electric lights harm them and is it considered a sin for which a person will be punished?

Decorating trees with electric lights is a form of cultivating the earth and bringing about betterment, and there is no harm in it as long as there is no extravagance, for Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. Allah Almighty has commanded us to cultivate the earth, and this universe, with all that is in it, is subservient to humanity to enjoy. And even if trees could feel, that would not prevent humans from benefiting from them for their interests, such as making doors, furniture, and other items, as long as there is no corruption involved.
