What is the ruling on watching cartoon films, especially the Pokémon series, knowing that watching them will not distract from the remembrance of Allah and will be for a short period? Are there any proofs from the Quran and Sunnah?

The basic ruling regarding adults watching cartoon films for enjoyment and entertainment is permissibility, provided they are free from شرعية violations such as music and corrupt beliefs. It is preferable that this be done for limited periods. As for the "Pokémon" series, it is not permissible to watch it due to its inclusion of serious شرعية violations such as: adopting the atheistic Darwinian theory (evolution and ascent), promoting violence and conflict, and containing symbols with Masonic and Zionist connotations, which makes it forbidden for both adults and children. It is advised to occupy one's time with what benefits them in their religion and their worldly life.
