Is it permissible for a Muslim to agree to the baptism of his daughter in the church, knowing that this ritual neither benefits nor harms, in order to avoid problems with his Christian in-laws, and to affirm good treatment of them in the hope of their guidance?

"The duty is to fear Allah and not to be courteous to the wife's disbelieving relatives at the expense of religion, because baptism is an act of disbelief by which a person is considered to have entered Christianity. It is a symbolic washing with water for purification, washing away sins, and starting a new life. In it, a person declares their faith in Christ, or guardians speak on behalf of children, and the priest pours water saying: 'I baptize you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.'"
