The answer

The Quran is a healing for the afflicted, by Allah's permission, as stated in His Almighty words: "O mankind, there has come to you an admonition from your Lord and a healing for what is in the chests and guidance and mercy for the believers," and His saying: "And We send down from the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers."

The power of (recitation for healing) with the Quran depends on the faith of the reciter and their closeness to Allah, just as the effect of supplication depends on the strength of the supplicant's faith. If the reciter is strong in faith and distant from sins, the Quran will have a great effect in treatment.

Ibn Al-Qayyim mentioned that the Quran is a complete cure for all ailments, whether spiritual, physical, worldly, or pertaining to the Hereafter. If the patient uses it with sincerity, faith, complete acceptance, and firm conviction, no illness can resist it. The Quran indicates the remedy for every disease, its cause, and the means of prevention. So, whoever is not healed by the Quran, may Allah not heal them; and whoever is not sufficed by the Quran, may Allah not suffice them.
