Is it Islamically forbidden for a woman to attend a funeral prayer?

The funeral prayer is legislated for both men and women, and they receive great reward for it. However, it is not permissible for women to follow funeral processions to the graveyard, because they are forbidden from doing so, just as they are forbidden from visiting graves, due to what is feared in terms of temptation for them and by them.
