Blood discharged from a pregnant woman, if it is determined to be hemorrhage and not menstrual blood, then her fasting and acts of worship during those days are valid. As for blood discharged due to a miscarriage occurring before 81 days (the period during which human features become discernible), it is not considered post-natal bleeding (). Rather, it is considered irregular bleeding (dam fasad) which does not prevent prayer or fasting. Any missed fasting or prayers due to it must be made up.
