What is the ruling on insulting religion during intense anger, what are the conditions for repentance from it, and does his marriage to his wife become annulled?

Reviling religion and mocking it are considered apostasy and disbelief that expels one from the fold of Islam, based on the Almighty’s saying: (Was it Allah, His Verses, and His Messenger that you were mocking? Make no excuses; you have disbelieved after your belief). Nevertheless, there is room for repentance, with its five conditions: sincerity to Allah, regret for the sin, desisting from it and resolving not to return to it, and that repentance must occur at the time of acceptance (before the sun rises from the west or before the onset of death).

However, the speaker of a word of disbelief may not be deemed a disbeliever if his anger was so severe that he lost awareness and control over what he was saying. In such a case, his words carry no legal weight, and he is not judged to be an apostate. A Muslim should treat anger by seeking refuge [in Allah], sitting down or lying down, and performing ablution.
