Is the attribution of the narration that includes the addition of "and the ape" acceptable, and can it be inferred from it that it is permissible, recommended, or obligatory to kill apes by analogy with killing swine, based on the action of Jesus, peace be upon him, at the end of time?

The hadith which includes the word "apes" (Jesus, son of Mary, will descend as a just ruler and a righteous Imam; he will break the cross, kill the swine and the apes, and there will be one prostration for Allah, the Lord of the worlds) was exclusively narrated by Asim ibn Bahdalah. Although he was deemed trustworthy, his memory and precision were a subject of discussion. Therefore, the addition of "apes" is considered anomalous and unreliable, especially since other widely narrated hadiths concerning the descent of Christ (peace be upon him) do not contain this word. Furthermore, Asim himself was inconsistent in narrating it, as it was reported from him both as a prophetic tradition (marfu') and as a statement of a Companion (mawquf). There is no legal Islamic basis for the permissibility of killing apes unless they are harmful or dangerous.
