Is it permissible for a worshipper to pray Dhuhr and Asr at home with his sister instead of praying behind the Imam of the mosque who rushes through his prayer, causing the congregant not to feel a sense of devotion behind him?

Congregational prayer in the mosque is obligatory for able-bodied men. Reciting Al-Fatiha is a pillar of prayer for the Imam, the one praying behind him (Ma'mum), and the individual praying alone. It is not waived for the Ma'mum unless he joins the Imam while bowing, or joins him just before bowing and cannot complete it. The Imam should be advised to pray with calmness and composure. If he bows before the Ma'mum completes Al-Fatiha, the Ma'mum may complete it and then follow him, even if he is delayed. One should not abandon the mosque or repeat the prayer; rather, one should pray with the Imam and strive to fulfill the obligation, while continuing to advise the Imam.
