What is the ruling on praying Dhuhr and Asr sitting down in a Western country, given the mosque's distance, which takes an hour and a half to go to and return from?

You must repeat the prayers you performed while sitting if you were able to stand, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Pray standing; if you are unable, then sitting." Furthermore, congregational prayer is an individual obligation, and if you have no valid excuse for not attending it, you must attend if you hear the call, for he said: "Whoever hears the call and does not come, his prayer is not valid unless there is an excuse." If you pray in congregation at your workplace, that suffices you, as the mosque is not a condition for congregational prayer. However, if you have a valid excuse that permits you to miss the congregational prayer, such as being hired to guard property whose loss is feared, or if your employer prevents you from going to the mosque, then there is no blame upon you for missing the congregational prayer.
