Its heinousness intensifies if it comes from someone expected to defend honor and chastity, such as a father. The perpetrator must repent before it is too late. It is not permissible for the daughter-in-law to obey him in this matter; she must take measures to protect herself from him, such as threatening to expose him. The children should offer him advice, and if he does not accept it, the wife should pray for her father's guidance without abandoning him.
