Is using very dark black dye forbidden for a veiled woman?

The jurists differed on the ruling of dyeing hair pure black. Some prohibited it, while others deemed it disliked, basing their opinions on the same prophetic hadiths that forbade it, such as his (peace be upon him) saying: "There will be people at the end of time who will dye their hair black like the crops of pigeons; they will not smell the scent of Paradise," and his (peace be upon him) command to change grey hair and avoid black. As for what tends towards black without being pure black, there is no harm in it.
