What is the ruling on a father building houses for his male children, but not for his female children, and does this result in the daughter refraining from visiting her family because she did not receive a house?

The father must be equitable in giving gifts to his children, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Fear Allah and be just among your children." He also forbade injustice in giving, such that the male receives the share of two females, as in inheritances. The fact that one of the children is wealthy or married does not exempt the father from the obligation of equity.

If the father did not act justly during his lifetime, then he must rectify it by giving the daughters half of what he gave the males, or by including them in the gift. If the father dies without having been equitable, then the inheritance is divided among the heirs according to Islamic law.

Lack of justice among children results in mistreatment of parents and severance of ties between siblings. Therefore, everyone must fear Allah the Almighty and adhere to His law, and the children should not accept an unjust distribution.
