What is the ruling on bringing young, unveiled girls to the mosque, and what is the impact of accustoming them to mixing with men and imitating unveiled women?

It is permissible to bring a young girl who has not reached the age of discernment or puberty to the mosque, provided she does not disturb the worshippers or soil the mosque, and that she is dressed modestly. This is supported by the action of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with Umamah bint Abi al-As, may Allah be pleased with her, knowing that this was out of necessity or rarity, not on a regular basis.

However, children who cause harm or disturbance in the mosque should not be brought, because warding off harm takes precedence over acquiring benefits.

The ruling on bringing girls differs from bringing boys because Islamic law encourages women to pray in their homes, considering it better for them, unlike men for whom congregational prayer in the mosque becomes obligatory upon reaching puberty. Therefore, it is preferable for a young girl to pray with her mother at home to accustom her to it and to avoid mixing with men.
