The answer

The fundamental principle regarding selling is its permissibility, as Allah Almighty says: {But Allah has permitted trade and forbidden interest} [Al-Baqarah: 275]. However, if the sale is associated with assisting in a forbidden act, it becomes unlawful. Jurists have forbidden the sale of items used in sins, such as juice to someone who makes wine, or weapons for discord, or a rooster for cockfighting, citing the verse: {And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression}. Likewise, the Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade assisting in usury and alcohol in all their forms. Accordingly, it is impermissible to sell or create maps for someone who will use them in an interest-based loan. As for remaining in the office, it depends on the office's adherence to Sharia guidelines in selling maps.
