Is it permissible to say, "There is no god except our Lord"?

There is no objection to saying, "There is no god but our Lord," for 'the Lord' (al-Rabb) is one of the beautiful names of Allah. However, it is better to say, "There is no god but Allah," because this is what is ورد (received/transmitted) in the Sharia, and the name "Allah" has characteristics not found in the name "al-Rabb." It is a name specific to Allah and is not applied to anyone else. Some scholars have mentioned that it is the Greatest Name of Allah (al-Ism al-A'dham).
