The answer

Salman al-Farsi, may Allah be pleased with him, was among the great and venerable Companions. He passed away in Mada'in during the caliphate of Uthman, between the years 33 and 37 AH. There is disagreement regarding his age; some narrations mention that he lived for 350 or 250 years. However, Imam al-Dhahabi expressed doubt about this, favoring the view that his age was in the seventies or around eighty, based on the lack of authentic chains of transmission for those narrations. He also cited a hadith in which Sa'd said to Salman when he visited him, "What makes you weep after eighty [years]?"
