Through observing the painful reality, we see the importance of education in raising a generation that serves and elevates the nation. Just as seeds, when cared for, yield good crops, similarly, childhood, when nurtured, produces a righteous generation. A question arises about the possibility of raising children through the Quran and Sunnah and utilizing their stories in this project.
Praise be to God and prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of God.
In the wake of the negative environment created by the influence of the West and its media dominance, and the busyness of parents with work, parents have become distant from raising their children. Reprimanding and scolding is not the ideal way of upbringing.
Disciplining by hanging the stick for the family to see is Sunnah, but being the sole method is rejected. Upbringing methods should be derived from the great revelation.
Raising through storytelling, conveying meaning with emotion, and achieving the goal with examples is one of the best and most successful methods. A story affects the child's heart and captures their attention.
The child must be connected with the Prophets of God and with the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, and raise them on what the Companions were upon. Suitable stories for children are abundant in the Quran and Sunnah, such as the story of Jonah in the belly of the whale and the story of Abu Hurairah with the devil and others.
These stories teach children values, morals, faith, and raise them to observe God, rely on Him, integrity, honesty, avoid oppression and deceit.
