The eternity of the Lord's actions, from everlasting to everlasting: This meaning is correct and obligatory concerning Allah, for He is ever-acting and adorned with attributes of perfection from eternity to eternity. 2. That something from creation is as ancient as Allah: This is false, for everything other than Allah is created and preceded by non-existence. 3. The sequence in Allah's acts, such that He creates creation after creation endlessly: This meaning is correct and permissible both by sacred law and by reason. 4. The sequence of effects, such that one thing affects another endlessly: This is impossible both by sacred law and by reason, because it leads to denying the Creator. And Allah is the First and the Last, the Outward and the Inward.

In summary, "تسلسل الحوادث" is the arrangement of infinite matters, and one must inquire into it to distinguish truth from falsehood.
