How is the inheritance distributed if the heirs are: a wife, a mother, two sons, a full sister, and a full brother?

If the deceased leaves behind only a mother, a wife, two sons, a brother, and a sister, then the mother receives one-sixth due to the presence of a lineal descendant, as Allah Almighty says: "And for his parents, each of them is to have a sixth of what he leaves if he has a child." The wife receives one-eighth due to the presence of a lineal descendant, as Allah Almighty says: "But if you have a child, then for them is an eighth of what you leave, after any bequest you [may have] made or debt." The remainder goes to the two sons by way of ta'sib (residuary heirship) equally, according to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Give the prescribed shares to those who are entitled to them, and whatever remains is for the nearest male relative." The brother and sister receive nothing as they are completely excluded from inheritance by the son. The inheritance is divided into forty-eight shares: the mother receives eight shares, the wife six shares, and each son seventeen shares. The enquirer is advised not to rely solely on verbal fatwas in matters of inheritance due to their risks, and the necessity of referring to the Sharia courts for adjudication and verification of all aspects.
