What is the interpretation of the noble verse: "They are dead, not alive, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected"?

The passage came in the context of the Quran's discussion of the disbelievers' deities and idols. Thus, the Almighty's saying, "And those whom they invoke besides Allah" refers to the idols and everything worshipped besides Allah. "They create nothing, while they themselves are created" means they are unable to create, and they are created by Allah. And His saying, "Dead, not alive" means the idols are inanimate objects, without spirit, they do not hear and do not see. And whoever worships them is better than them because he is alive. And His saying, "and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected" means they do not know when they will be resurrected.
