Is the hadith, "If I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone, I would have commanded the woman to prostrate to her husband," authentic? The hadith (definition) is authentic. It was authenticated by Al-Tirmidhi and Al-Hakim, and Al-Dhahabi concurred. Al-Haythami said concerning one of the narrations from Ahmad and Al-Bazzar: "Its narrators are narrators of the Sahih (definition)." Al-Albani mentioned six chains of transmission for the hadith, some of which have an authentic isnad (definition), and the totality of the narrations confirms the authenticity of the hadith.
