What is the ruling on reciting the Qur’an by heart while in a state of ritual impurity, and what is the ruling on listening to it during sexual intercourse?

It is permissible for someone who has impurity on their body or clothes to recite the Quran, though it is disliked, unless they are in a state of major ritual impurity (junub) or menstruation. As for reciting the Quran during relieving oneself or during intercourse, it is not permissible with the tongue. However, it is permissible to occupy the heart with the remembrance of Allah Almighty, and with the recitation and listening to the Quran.
