What is the correct action after passing wind immediately after performing Wudu: Should one wait, or perform Wudu straight away?

If you are certain that you have passed wind, your ablution (wudu) is nullified by consensus. You may perform wudu immediately, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "O Bilal, cast off sleep and stand up and call to prayer." Or you may wait until the time for prayer and then perform wudu, based on the Almighty's saying: "O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles."
