How did the Prophet Muhammad pray for himself when he was the Messenger?

Praying upon the Prophet, peace be upon him, during prayer is an act of worship that the Prophet taught his Companions, instructing them to say: "O Allah, bless Muhammad." It is mentioned in some narrations that Jibreel taught this to the Messenger, peace be upon him. Worshippers are required to utter this specific phrase, and it is not unlikely that the Prophet, peace be upon him, also used to say it. This is supported by his supplications for himself using similar wordings, such as: "O Allah, make the provision of the family of Muhammad sufficient," and "O Allah, accept from Muhammad and the family of Muhammad."
