Why does the questioner feel distant from Allah Almighty despite His closeness, and why is he facing a decline in his personal and family life, knowing that he is a father of six children and suffers from bad luck in all aspects of his life?

This worldly life is a place of trial and tribulation for the believer, wherein they experience both good and evil. Every affliction that befalls them is good for them and a reward that elevates their status with Allah. Allah Almighty says: "He who created death and life to test you, which of you is best in deed," and He says: "And We test you with evil and with good as a trial; and to Us you will be returned." The believer is like a tender plant that the wind turns over; every harm that befalls them carries a reward. "Wondrous is the affair of the believer, for there is good in all his affairs, and this is not the case for anyone except the believer. If prosperity befalls him, he expresses gratitude, and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him, he shows patience, and that is good for him." Tribulation is a cure through patience, and calamities raise one's ranks. The believer must be content with Allah's decree and destiny, and avoid self-praise with phrases such as "even though I am close to Allah."
