Is the deceased opening one or both of his eyes when he is buried or before that an indication that one of his relatives will die soon?

This matter does not serve as valid evidence for what was mentioned, because knowing when a person will die is part of the knowledge of the Unseen, which only Allah knows, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The keys of the Unseen are five... and no soul knows in what land it will die."

It is known that the deceased's gaze remains fixed at the time of death, and it is sunnah to close their eyes after the soul departs, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, when the soul is seized, the gaze follows it," and "When you attend to your dead, close the eyes, for the sight follows the soul." The deceased cannot open their eyes after that unless there is life in them.
