What is the ruling on dealing with a lamb dedicated to Allah by vow: is it permissible to sell it and donate its price, or to slaughter it and distribute its meat? And how is a vow fulfilled if it is money?

Whoever vows obedience to Allah must fulfill it, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever vows to obey Allah, let him obey Him." A vow to dedicate what is in the belly of a sheep to Allah Almighty, without specifying a particular recipient, is to be directed to the poor and needy. The one who made the vow may eat from his vow unless he designated it for a specific purpose. He may slaughter the vowed animal and give its meat in charity, or he may not slaughter it and instead feed the poor the equivalent amount of its meat. A vow of money must be fulfilled as it was vowed.
