What is the opinion of Sharia regarding adopting the view of some scholars that a blameworthy divorce (talaq bid'i) does not occur when a husband utters it in a state of intense anger, even while being aware of what he is saying?

Talaq al-bid'i (innovative divorce) refers to a man divorcing his wife during menstruation or post-partum bleeding (nifas), or during a period of purity (tuhr) in which he had intercourse with her, or divorcing her with three pronouncements at once. The majority of scholars hold that innovative divorce takes effect, and this is the correct view. Some scholars are of the opinion that divorce pronounced during menstruation or post-partum bleeding, or during a period of purity in which the husband had intercourse with his wife, does not take effect. They also consider a triple divorce pronounced at once to be a single divorce. If a person is convinced by this latter opinion based on a Shariah-compliant conviction or the fatwa of a trustworthy scholar, then there is no blame upon him.
