Is he who points to evil like its doer, and is it considered an ongoing sin?

He who points to evil is like its perpetrator. Thus, whoever calls to misguidance bears its sin and the sin of those who follow him. The term "ongoing sin" (al-sayyi'ah al-jariyah) was not used by scholars. However, whoever commits an evil deed and its effect continues, bears its burden and the burden of those who go astray because of it, in accordance with His, the Almighty's, saying: "That they may bear their own burdens in full on the Day of Resurrection, and some of the burdens of those whom they misguide without knowledge." And in the hadith (definition): "Whoever introduces a bad practice in Islam will bear its sin and the sin of those who act upon it after him." And His, the Almighty's, saying: "And We record that which they have put forth and their traces" indicates the recording of what a person leaves behind, whether good or evil deeds, whose benefit or harm continues.
