Is the wife, whose husband is polygamous, entitled to choose the time and manner of compensating for the days her husband travels with his other wife, such as by requesting consecutive days, and is the husband entitled to specify these days?

A husband must be just among his wives, especially concerning their nights with him. If he wishes to travel with one of his wives, he should, according to the more preponderant opinion, cast lots among them. Whichever wife's lot is drawn, he takes her with him. Scholars differed on this matter: the Hanafis and Malikis held that he may travel with whomever he wishes without casting lots or seeking the consent of the others, while the Shafi'is and Hanbalis agreed on the necessity of casting lots or obtaining the consent of all the other wives. If he travels with one wife through casting lots or with their consent, he is not obligated to make up the nights for the wives who remained. If he wishes to make up for another wife, he is not obliged to give her a choice as to the time of making up, nor is he required to make up consecutively. Rather, he adds a day or two for the one being compensated until she completes what she missed.
