What is the ruling on a husband divorcing his wife in response to pressure from his family, knowing that the marriage took place despite the family's prior objection due to differences in customs and traditions between the two tribes?

Tribal differences should not be an impediment to marriage. The Islamic criterion for choosing a spouse is based on religiosity and character, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A woman is married for four reasons: for her wealth, for her lineage, for her beauty, and for her religion. So choose the one who is religious, and you will succeed." And he also said: "If someone whose religiosity and character you approve of comes to propose, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." Divorce without a legitimate reason is disliked. If the husband initiates divorce to satisfy the wishes of his brothers and avoid their displeasure, without a legitimate reason, then he has committed a disliked act.
