Is the young man who has not married despite reaching the age of thirty-five sinful because of his inability to provide a decent life? Is what he is experiencing divine decree and destiny? Is he wretched or blessed? Is what he earns considered sufficient to exempt him from asking people? And what is your guidance and advice for him?

There is no sin upon one who does not marry due to inability to do so, because religious obligation is tied to capability, and the incapable one should fast. As for the capable one who fears falling into the unlawful, marriage is obligatory upon him. And every affliction that befalls a servant is due to what his hands have earned, so he must repent, turn to Allah, show filial piety to his parents, strive to seek lawful sustenance, and rely upon Allah. For indeed, He, the Exalted, provides a way out for whoever fears Him and sustains him from where he does not expect, and marriage can be a cause for sustenance.
