Does wearing loose trousers fall under the ruling of being cursed?
It is permissible for a woman to wear loose trousers that cover the 'awrah and do not reveal the size of the limbs, in front of women and unmarriageable kin (mahrams), provided that it does not involve imitation of men or disbelieving women. As for her husband, it is permissible to wear them, even if they are tight, under the same conditions. However, it is not permissible to wear them in front of men or to go out in them alone without a jilbab, because they do not achieve the prescribed Islamic covering and are considered a display of adornment (tabarruj). The woman who imitates men by wearing trousers, or displays adornment by wearing them, incurs a curse, as stated in the prophetic hadiths.
