Is heavy joking with parents considered filial disobedience?

There is no harm in a little truthful jesting if it serves a purpose, such as easing the fatigue of travel, showing affection to a child, or bringing joy to parents. The evidence for this is the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, I do jest, but I only speak the truth." Jesting with parents must be done with politeness, respect, and appreciation for their status; otherwise, it would be forbidden and considered disobedience. Allah has forbidden this, saying: "So do not say to them [i.e., your parents] 'uff' [i.e., a word of contempt or displeasure]."
