Is anything incumbent upon us for stoning the jamarāt and staying overnight in Mina on the following day, after our delay in returning from Tawāf al-Ifāḍah on the night of Nahr?
If one misses the stay overnight in Mina on the eleventh night due to a valid excuse, there is no sin, and it is permissible for the excused pilgrim to depart early. However, for one who misses the stay overnight without a valid excuse, it is not permissible to depart early. Such a person must stay overnight for the third night and stone on that day. Otherwise, a dam (sacrificial offering) becomes obligatory for missing the stoning and a mudd (a measure of food) for missing the stay overnight. If they also missed staying overnight on the two preceding nights, another dam becomes obligatory for missing those stays overnight.
