What is the ruling regarding a husband who, while angry, said to his wife: "You are divorced, divorced, divorced"? And is the wife considered divorced, or does the divorce not take effect?

Anger does not prevent the occurrence of divorce unless it is so severe as to lead to a loss of consciousness and awareness. If the husband uttered the divorce while he was aware of what he was saying, then his divorce is valid. If the divorce was in the form of "you are divorced, divorced, divorced" and the husband did not intend to effect three divorces, then only one divorce occurs. However, if he intended by the repetition to effect three divorces, then all three have occurred, according to the majority of scholars. If the husband has not completed three divorces, he may reconcile with his wife before the expiration of the waiting period ('iddah). If he has completed three divorces, then she has become irrevocably divorced from him (baynunah kubra) and she is not lawful for him unless she marries another husband and then he divorces her or dies.
