Was the Prophet's—may God's prayers and peace be upon him—last covenant with Ali ibn Abi Talib—may God be pleased with him?

The aforementioned hadith is weak in both its chain of narration (sanad) and its text (matn). From the perspective of the chain of narration, it revolves around Umm Musa, who is not considered reliable. From the perspective of the text, it contradicts authentic hadiths that clarify that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, died in the lap of Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, and that the last person whose saliva mixed with the Prophet's saliva was Aisha, after he used a miswak from Abdur-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr. Even if we assume its authenticity, it does not indicate that Ali was the last person to have contact with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Umm Salamah said, "Then he passed away on that very day," which means that he was not the last to have contact with him. Furthermore, there are other narrations indicating that others, such as Abdur-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr, were among the last people to have contact with him.
