Is the meaning of the man's reason for losing his mind in the hadith: "One of you can take away the mind of a resolute man" due to a woman's allure and beauty, or due to her intelligence?
The temptation of men by women may be due to the woman herself, such as her uttering tricks or words or performing actions that allure the man, as in His (Allah's) saying, "And let them not stamp their feet so as to make known what they conceal of their adornment" and "Then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet." The reason may also stem from the man and his laxity in dealing with women. Therefore, men were warned against the temptation of women, as in His (Allah's) saying, "And when you ask them [His wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition," and the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying, "Beware of the world and beware of women, for the first trial of the Children of Israel was caused by women." Scholars have not mentioned that a woman's intelligence is a cause of temptation.
